M O N A D
The monad or the number one is the core of existence, a symbol revered in various mystical and philosophical traditions for its profound meaning. In Pythagorean philosophy, the monad is considered the ultimate source, the creator from which all numbers and therefore all forms emerge. The essence of the monad is unity, a state in which there is no division or separation. From a scientific point of view, hydrogen, the first and simplest element in the periodic table, corresponds to the symbolism of the monad. Just as hydrogen is the building block of the universe, forming the basis of stars and galaxies, a fundamental unit of existence from which complexity unfolds.
It is also a symbol of the sun, the ultimate source of life and light.
Geometrically, the monad is represented by the point — a dimensionless entity that is the origin of all geometric shapes.
Uniqueness is inherent to the monad, unmatched and incomparable.

D U A D
The duad or the number two is often perceived as an unlucky number because it stands for the first act of division, a concept that can signify conflict and contradiction. A duel.
In human relationships, the duet symbolises the interaction between "I" and "you"." It is the basis of interpersonal relationships and illustrates the dynamic between the self and the other. This relational aspect emphasises the role of the duad in creating the framework for communication, empathy, understanding, cooperation and procreation.
In the realm of logic and computation, the duad is fundamental. It represents the binary system, the basis of modern computer technology, in which zero and one are the building blocks of digital information. This binary nature also extends to the concepts of true and false, yes and no, hunter and prey, which underlines the role of the duad in defining reality.
Geometrically, the duad is represented by a straight line connecting two points, simultaneously representing connection and separation.
The duad also stands for polarity, i.e. the existence of positive and negative forces that drive the universe and life. This polarity can be found in electrical charges, magnetic fields and even in human emotions.

T R I A D
The triad or the number three symbolises divine completeness and deep spiritual meaning.
In mathematical and philosophical contexts, it is often regarded as the first true number and forms the first geometric shape — the triangle. This shape, with its three sides and angles, is a symbol of strength and balance, associated with planning, constructiveness, stability and harmony.
In the modern context, the triad is represented by the RGB (red, green, blue) colour model, which forms the basis for digital imaging and display technologies. This model shows how three primary colours can be combined to create a huge spectrum of colours and all shades between dark and light.
The triad is often associated with the three dimensions of time: past, present and future.
In the context of life, it symbolises the three phases of existence: birth, life and death, as well as the principles of creation, preservation and destruction.
Whether as a deity, as a symbol of time or as a constructive force, the triad embodies the essence of perfection and directs the interplay of forces that shape our reality.

 T E T R A D
The tetrad or the number four is often regarded as the perfect number. Its perfection stems from its ability to form a solid foundation, be it in mathematics, geometry or metaphysical concepts.
According to Einstein's equation of general relativity, spacetime is a four-dimensional object that describes where you are, not only in three-dimensional space — length, width and height — but also in time.
Geometrically, the tetrad is represented by the square, a shape that embodies stability and is also the basic unit for two- and three-dimensional measurements.
We can recognise a tetrad pattern not only in space but also in time, which is illustrated by the four seasons — spring, summer, autumn and winter — each of which contributes to the balance of nature and ensures the continuous cycle of life and renewal.
The tetrad is also closely linked to the concept of the four cardinal points: North, South, East and West. These directions provide orientation and structure for finding one's way in the world.
In nature, the number four is often found in the form of four-legged animals, such as mammals, which need this structure not only for their stability but also for their locomotion.
Whether the tetrad embodies the principles of a constant universal order, finding a four-leaf clover is considered a rare and fortunate event.

P E N T A D
The pentad or number five is often considered a sacred symbol deeply rooted in various cultural and esoteric traditions. It is often associated with a five-pointed star - the pentagram - which has been revered throughout history as a symbol of protection and power, achievement, honor and distinction. The pentagram also stands for the union of the spiritual and material worlds. One of the deepest associations of the pentagram is with the human body with its five limbs — two arms, two legs and a head. Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, with his outstretched limbs forming a star, is an example of this symbolism.
The pentad also symbolizes the five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. These senses are our most important means of experiencing and interacting with the world. The number five therefore stands for the entire spectrum of human perception of our sensory experiences and, in anatomical structural terms, for the number of fingers on each hand and foot.
In classical philosophy, the pentad is associated with the devine concept of the fifth element or quintessence, which transcends the four earthly elements of earth, water, air and fire.

H E X A D
The hexad or number six symbolises harmony, beauty and holistic integration. It is the first perfect number because it is the sum of its divisors (1, 2 and 3). Geometrically, the hexagon with its six sides is a shape known for its efficiency and stability widespread in nature. It can be found in the structure of honeycombs, crystals and flowers. This natural occurrence emphasises the hexagon's role in creating stable and efficient structures and symbolises order, strength, beauty and inclusivity.
The hexagon is also the first polygon that can represent a three-dimensional perception of a polyhedron - the hexahedron (cube). The hexagram (a six-pointed star) is another shape that has developed from the hexagon. It symbolises the union of opposites — spirit and matter, male and female, heaven and earth.
In addition to the traditional five senses, six is often associated with the "sixth sense" or intuition, an expanded awareness that encompasses both the visible and invisible aspects of reality.
In contrast to its harmonic aspects, the number six also has a more complex symbolism as the "number of the beast" in Christian eschatology (666).
This dual nature of the hexad reflects the potential for core and edge, good and evil, hexagon and cube, winners and losers.
